Description:
This course explains the theories and methods of engaging citizens in the development of sustainable communities and community problem-solving. Participants will learn how to assess and apply those theories and concepts in building a sustainable community.
Objectives:
- Explain the importance of citizens involvement in governance
- Better understand well-governed communities with efficient and all-in engagement
- Gain the knowledge, tools and procedures for the citizens’ recruitment process
- Acquire skills in public, private, society and voluntary services
- Acquire the skills of productive communication and effective engagement techniques in engaging citizens in solving community problems
