Description:
This course provides in-depth information about the principles and regulations of Islamic banks. It explains the international banking standards from the Basel committee and IFSB and compares different countries approaches in Islamic banks regulation and supervision activities. This course also discusses the risks in Islamic banks and explains supervisory approaches in Islamic banks such as sharia governance board. It also explains the main aspects of the Basel III concepts and their impact on Islamic banks in addition to financial safety nets in deposit insurance and liquidity management schemes in Islamic central banks.
Objectives:
